Bowling History, The Bowling Memoirs of Johnny Petraglia
Bowling Memoirs by Johnny Petraglia – Only in America
This past week we had the first “Johnny Petraglia BVL Open.” It was a huge success. We had 600 pro-am entries, and we raised $50,000 for the Veterans. That’s an enormous amount for a bowling tournament that only runs for 4 days. Many thanks to Pete Weber, Parker Bohn III, Walter Ray Williams, Jr., and Amleto Monacelli for their extra help. Mike Scroggins ran the table and beat Pete Weber in the title match.
But the real thanks for this event go to John and Joe La Spina, and the La Spina family and staff. Their tireless efforts and generosity are what made this possible, and of course the veterans who in the current state of the world, and the troubles that exist everywhere else, are the ones that keep our country free.
Remember… They are willing to die for us…Don’t let them die without us!!
Johnny P you were always the best in my book and still are, God bless you man, only regret did not know about this and probably not in my area, or would have been there to help.
