PBA Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III will try for his second title of the GEICO PBA World Series of Bowling VII presented by Silver Legacy and the 36th of his career when the PBA Scorpion Championship presented by Reno Tahoe USA finals air Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.

In the concluding tournament of the 2015 Tour season, Bohn survived two dramatic roll-offs, including one in the fifth and final game of his best-of-five single-elimination Round of 8 match, to advance to the finals.

Bohn, who won the PBA Cheetah Championship presented by PBA Bowling Challenge Mobile Game earlier in WSOB VII to notch his 35th Tour title to move into sole possession of fifth place on the all-time PBA Tour titles list, defeated 18-year-old Anthony Simonsen of Princeton, Texas, 3-2 (264-246, 192-259, 226-237, 196-196, 247-247) in the Round of 8. He won a five-frame roll-off in the fourth game to stay alive and then survived a three-frame roll-off in the fifth game to win the match. Bowling fans had the opportunity to witness the dramatic matches live on PBA’s online bowling channel Xtra Frame.

Also advancing to the TV finals was Lonnie Waliczek of Wichita, Kan., who defeated four-time Tour winner Dom Barrett of England, 3-0 (206-162, 234-208, 222-222) winning a roll-off in the final game in the Round of 8 to advance. Waliczek will be trying for his third Tour title and first since 2003.

Jason Sterner of Covington, Ga., trying for his second title, defeated Rolltech PBA World Championship runner-up EJ Tackett of Huntington, Ind., 3-1 (198-173, 192-205, 256-219, 238-233) to earn his berth in the ESPN finals.

Jon Van Hees of Charlestown, R.I., defeated two-time Tour winner Tom Smallwood of Saginaw, Mich., 3-2 (194-206, 244-228, 226-218, 191-235, 268-259), in the Round of 8. Van Hees, making his first television final, is not only trying for his first PBA Tour title, but hoping to become the first Rhode Island native ever to win a PBA Tour title.

Following Sunday’s telecast, World Series action from Reno on ESPN will include the Mark Roth/Marshall Holman PBA Doubles Championship presented by Storm on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. ET and the PBA Challenge Finals presented by the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. ET.
