Motiv Fatal Venom Shock bowling ball

The Motiv Venon Shock has it all at an affordable price. This ball pairs the Gear weight block with the Turmoil MFS Reactive coverstock from the Covert Revolt to produce a smooth but angular backend motion that continues through the pins. The colors on this ball really pop on the lane and produce shocking results on light to medium oil conditions.

– Core Type: Gear?
– Coverstock: Turmoil? MFS Reactive
– Factory Finish: 4000 Grit Sanded, A few tiny pit holes in the cover stock of the ball are normal
– RG: 2.48
– RG diff: .034

Motiv Ripcord Velocity bowling ball

It’s all about angle! From core to cover, the Ripcord™ Velocity is built to fly fast and corner hard.

The dual-density Oblivion™ core is a complex work of engineering unlike anything else in the world. It features a massive flip-block to make the Ripcord™ Velocity come off the oil pattern as violently as possible. And with a high RG and moderate differential the Oblivion™ core is dialed in for versatility on medium oil conditions. “We’ve had this core for a few years now and I feel like we are still learning tricks that we can do with it,” said MOTIV® Tour Rep Nick Pahr.

To take full advantage of the dynamic characteristics of the Oblivion core, MOTIV® is featuring new Infusion™ MVP Reactive cover stock on the Ripcord Velocity. Evolving from the technology used on the Fatal Venom, Infusion MVP produces easy length and an unbelievable change of direction down lane. “This new cover technology is allowing us to shape the ball and create angles that we haven’t seen before”, said Brett Spangler of MOTIV. Tuned with a 5500 Grit LSP finish, the Ripcord Velocity has speed to spare.

When To Use:

  • Speed Dominant: Speed dominant players will use the Velocity as their burn ball.  What the Velocity offers is more angle down lane than anything else available.  For speed dominant players, that is the last crucial piece in the progression, a ball that can make the corner when they have to use angle.
  • Balanced: When balanced bowlers need help through the front and angle through the pins, the Ripcord Velocity is the best option.  For balanced bowlers on higher friction surfaces where the front of the lane is an issue, this Ripcord will have no problem giving the length needed with a surprising pop down lane.
  • Rev Dominant: For players who have rev rate to spare, the Ripcord Velocity is like cheating.  The incredible angles this ball can create for a rev dominant player are something nobody else on the lane will be able to mimic.  When getting steep is key, rev dominant players will have an unfair advantage with the Ripcord Velocity.

Motiv Trident Horizon bowling ball

“This thing is so fun to throw!I feel like it lets me do whatever I want to do on fresh”, stated EJ Tackett about the new Trident™ Horizon. Utilizing a hybrid edition of Coercion™ MXC cover technology, the Trident™ Horizon exudes strength, power, and incredible versatility.

A solid version of Coercion™ MXC powers the impressive Forge™ Flare.“It is so strong, that some high rev rate players are forced to use fiercely steep angles and sometimes throw it over the front of the lane to use it even on fresh”, said PBA® Tour Rep Brett Spangler.“It just makes sense to merge this phenomenal shell with a higher RG core and less aggressive finish.”And that is precisely the design focus behind the Trident Horizon.

Utilizing new Coercion™ MXC Hybrid Reactive cover technology, the Trident™ Horizon digs in the oil yet still manages to continue down lane to a degree that confounds many bowlers.Tuned with a 4000 Grit LSS finish, it showcases more clearly the down lane motion potential of the Coercion™ MXC technology.

To maximize continuation, the Trident™ Horizon utilizes the versatile asymmetric Sidewinder™ core.Featuring a higher RG and lower intermediate differential, it clears the front of the lane much easier than the more powerful solid balls for heavier oil volumes and retains energy to provide ferocious continuation.

Roto Grip UFO Alert bowling ball

Our obsession with helping players of all ages and styles conquer various lane conditions while abiding to forthcoming governing rules, led to the development and creation of the asymmetrical E.T.™ Core (Equalizer Technology Core) which features built in cavities in order to increase weight displacement after drilling without a balance hole to increase overall ball motion.

The MicroTrax (Micro Nanoparticle Traction) Coverstock offers the optimum balance of midlane traction and responsiveness to friction thanks the blend of nanoparticles throughout the coverstock. This formulation maintains its surface profile texture longer to ensure you get maximum performance while displacing oil at an above average rate compared to other coverstock materials on the market today.

Assembled for every bowler in the universe, the UFO™ Alert is here to help you navigate those Medium to Medium/Heavy Oil Conditions with ease. No matter your style, no matter your rev rate, no matter your speed, the E.T.™ Core (Equalizer Technology Core) with its built in cavities, is sure to create great overall core motion every time due to the added mass displacement when drilled. And we can’t forget about the eTrax™ Hybrid Coverstock which is made of 2 parts pearl and1 part solid. This cover combination aids in creating plenty of responsiveness to friction down lane without being too angular. Thus, making this combination of core and cover one of the most ideal options ever created for most any house type oil condition on planet earth.

Storm Dark Code bowling ball

If you need the perfect combination of mid-lane roll and backend reactivity with head-turn pin carry, the Dark Code should be your very first choice. Easy power and a gorgeous look? Sign us up.

The Dark Code features an extremely dense modified disc technology shape called the RAD4 Core. First introduced in the X-Factor™ series, RAD (Radial Accelerating Disc) technology produces, bar none, more torque and entry angle than traditional asymmetrical cores. It’s the new standard for high performance.

Some bowling balls immediately sink their teeth into the lane in order to provide traction in oil. Others glide through the front part of the lane with ease, saving all their energy for an explosive backend reaction. But, what happens when you have a ball that’s capable of offering both? Well, at Storm, we wanted to find out, and that’s how we came up with the Dark Code – a ball that’s so good, it’s almost evil!

The engineering may be complicated, but the simple truth of the Dark Code is as confidence inspiring as anything else we’ve built to date. Dynamic cores and potent covers build a solid foundation – one enhanced by industry-leading longevity. A superior factory finish signifies its place atop the pecking order. Imposing. Purposeful. This is the kind of ball you look up to.

We stepped back and took the best features of our seven most popular coverstocks: Reactor™, R2S™, TX-16™, NRG™, SPEC™, GI-20™, and NeX™. What’s realized has more texture, more porosity, and more motility that combines the benefits of seven of the most iconic coverstocks to ever leave the Storm workshop. TractionX7 headlines the durability of TX-16, the backend of R2S, and the slower oil absorption rates of SPEC. Simply put, there’s versatility encased in TractionX7’s genome that stays put for as long as it stays in your bag.
