The 900 Global Honey Badger Intensity Bowling Ball By The Numbers
The Honey Badger Intensity features the S70 solid coverstock and the Grapnel 2.0 mild asymmetric core. Angel’s layout as always is 5 x 3 ½ x 3 ½, putting the pin above her bridge and kicking the mass bias out a couple inches, mine is 4 ¾ x 3 ½ x 3 ½, putting the pin in my ring finger and kicking the mass bias out to the side. Global covers give you some semblance of their strength with the number in the name on a scale from 1-100, so S70 is on the strong side of medium and reminds me a lot of the R2X cover from the Hyroad X, and it comes at 4000 grit.
The Grapnel Core In the Honey Badger Intensity is Unique
Usually stronger cores, especially asymmetric are down around the 2.50 RG range while the other numbers are on par with other mild asyms like the Rubicons and Incite, so the Grapnel core is a bit unique, coming in at a 2.54 rg, .048 differential, and an .012 split or intermediate differential in 15 pounds. Medium RG makes it rev up and roll a little slower or later, gives the ball a chance to get down the lane a little further than other typical asyms, while the diff and intermediate diff provide the flare and torque to help it boom on the backend, so think something like asymmetric Hyroad, it’s that general idea. The total package is a great blend of pop and control, while the overall strength puts it right at home on typical league patterns.
The Ratings For the Honey Badger Intensity
The ratings are a little tricky, but I give the Intensity an 7 for hook, a 6 for length, and a 7 for backend strength, and it would be a solid 2 ball in an arsenal. It’s similar strength to the Hyroad Max but is a bit longer and has a bit more pop, and similar to the Hyroad in backend strength. 900 global honey badger intensity bowling ball
The Honey Badger Intensity will build upon the success of the Honey Badger Revival™ by giving the player that famous Honey Badger™ shape on heavier oil conditions.
The S70 Solid Cover, finished at 4000 Grit Abralon, will provide more traction in the oil versus the polished hybrid cover found on the Honey Badger Revival. The Honey Badger Intensity will provide a dynamic skid/flip shape on the heavier patterns. This cover has been purposely engineered to give you a different look on heavy oil.
The Grapnel 2.0 Core Quickly became known as a piece that will lope through the front part of the lane with very little effort and change direction sharply. Most heavy oil balls feature lower RG’s to promote early revolutions off the player’s hand. Not no with the Grapnel 2.0. This, combined with the cover, will promote a truly unique shape on the fresh patterns.

It’s really amazing! Smooth rolling ball with great backend. With a little bit of lane shine the ball is even better.
