The Storm Night Road Bowling Ball VS The Storm HyRoad Pearl

The Storm Night Road is essentially a stronger HyRoad Pearl So how will these balls stack up against each other on the fresh and on the burn!

Storm Night Road Bowling Ball

Bowlers are always in search of balls that provide them with enough traction to control the front part of the lane without sacrificing strong hooking motion and entry angle on the back end. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Hy-Road balls have been immensely popular as they have dominated medium to lighter patterns the world over for more than twelve years now. But sometimes a bit more power is needed to get the job done, and when that is the case, you deserve nothing but the best. With that in mind, we’re bringing you a new  Night Road that will be the gold standard when a stronger move to the pocket is needed.

In order to make this Night Road something new and special, we knew that we had to be very selective when deciding on a coverstock. After many long hours of testing, ReX Pearl emerged as the obvious choice.

The dynamic reaction of the Night Road will also be helped along by the inclusion of tried and true Inverted Fe2 Core Technology. The pin-punishing power of Inverted Fe2 is legendary in the bowling world. That is because it allows for more coverstock material to be utilized, leading to a heightened coefficient of restitution, enhanced dynamics, and amplified energy transfer where you need it most…at the pins. Inverted Fe2 Technology has powered all the Hy-Roads that you’ve loved up to this point, and we know that it won’t disappoint you in the Night Road. Being the best means standing up to the tests of time. The Hy-Road name has done so brilliantly since 2008. Now, the Night Road Gold is ready to add to that legacy by offering you a seriously strong ball reaction that will help you outshine the competition for years to come.

Storm HyRoad Pearl Bowling Ball

The number one factor of ball motion is coverstock. Just one shot with the new Hy-Road Pearl and youll see the difference. The R2S pearl reactive shell floats easily through the front, maintaining ball speed as much as possible, waiting to really cut loose on the backends!

Matching the core to the coverstock is equally important, though. That is why the same Inverted Fe Technology weight block will be carried over into the new Hy-Road Pearl. Pairing the R2S Pearl reactive coverstock with the dynamic Fe weight block ensures that your favorite layouts in your previous Road series balls will be just as effective in the new Hy-Road Pearl. You see, Storm recognizes your needs as a bowler because we, too, are bowlers! And just like you, we want every advantage on the lanes that we can get.

Dont forget that the thicker shell of the Hy-Road series makes a difference, too. The amount of energy transferred to the pins at impact is greater, translating to unmatched power at the pocket. Its part of what makes the Hy-Road one of the most special balls in the history of bowling.

    Excellent comparison video.

As a HyRoad Pearl roller I have to agree with your assessments – the Pearl is perfect for when the lanes burn/transition OR if the oil happens to be “light” in volume. The Night Road looks perfect for Starting Games/blocks or “heavy” oil volumes.

Based on your rolling of the Night Road: it reminds me of my All-Time favorite Storm Ball – the venerable VICTORY ROAD with the Magnificent “Fe3” core. I don’t have that ball any more – I replaced it with my current HyRoad Pearl when the cover BROKE APART between the fingers and the Victory was “nowhere to be found” anymore. :( I really wish Storm would resurrect the Victory Road and its’ Fe3 core and Pearl coverstock combination.

Otherwise, thank you for your review…
