Roto Grip Announces The New Magic Gem Bowling Ball

Today, I’m thrilled to share some fantastic news from Roto Grip. We have two new entries: the Magic Gem and the TNT Infused Asymmetrical. On the left, we have the asymmetrical, and on the right, the symmetrical. Both of these balls are hybrids, combining the best of both worlds!
 
Let’s dive into the details, starting with the Magic Gem. This ball features the iconic Gem logo with the powerful Defiant core in the background. But what makes it truly magical? It’s the combination of Microtech solid and pearl, forming the Microtrax hybrid cover. From what I’ve gathered, it’s a mix of two parts pearl and one part solid.
 
Now, let’s take a look at the specs. The Magic Gem boasts the Microtrax hybrid cover, the Defiant core, and a stunning color combination of Citrine, Radonight, and Jet. With a 2000 grit abralon finish, this ball is designed to excel on medium and heavy oil conditions. At 15 pounds, it has an RG of 2.47 and a 0.053 differential, with a 0.016 asymmetric differential for added strength.
 
For comparison, let’s briefly touch on the Exotic Gem from the same line. It shares similar numbers with a 2.47 RG, 0.053 differential, and 0.016 asymmetric differential, but the Exotic Gem features a reactor gloss finish, while the Magic Gem is sanded.
 
Now, let’s discuss the use case for the Magic Gem. It’s designed to bridge the gap between the solid and the pearl, providing a cleaner reaction than the solid but earlier than the pearl. What sets it apart is the Nano technology in the Microtrax cover, which enhances its footprint on the lane and provides excellent blending on tricky wet-dry and cliff conditions. This versatility makes it an ideal choice for both sport shots and challenging lane conditions, making it a fantastic first ball out of the bag for strokers or anyone looking for a reliable go-to ball.
