October 2023 Discontinued Ball List! | Storm & 900 Global | Fan Favorites Go Bye-Bye!

Chris Beans shares breaking news on three additions to the DISCONTINUED BALL LIST!

Discontinued Bowling Balls From Storm and 900 Global

October 2023 Discontinued Balls! Storm and 900 Global have announced new additions to their discontinued ball lists. These include the Storm Fate, Storm Phase 5, and the 900 Global Zen. The Storm Fate, known for being Belmo’s ball and featuring a symmetrical pearl with the Fake core, is likely being discontinued to make way for a new Belmo ball. The Storm Phase 5, an update to the popular Phase 4 and featuring a reactive gloss finish and the Velocity core, is another ball being discontinued. Finally, the 900 Global Zen, a high RG, low differential urethane ball known for its control and popularity as a sport ball, is also being discontinued.

Bowlers looking to acquire these balls should act fast. Supplies are likely to be limited, and prices on the secondary market are expected to increase as availability dwindles. Checking with local pro shops is recommended, as they may still have these balls in stock. Online retailers like BowlerSmart may also have limited supplies available.

Those who own these balls and enjoy using them are encouraged to stock up while they can. Discontinued bowling balls often become sought-after items on the secondary market. As the supply decreases, the price tends to increase. This makes it beneficial to purchase additional balls while they are still readily available.

Storm Fate Bowling Ball

The Belmo story would not be the same if his path didn’t cross with Storm. For over 20 years they have formed a formidable team. Winning titles globally as an amateur and then breaking records and setting the PBA Tour on fire together for over adecade. The partnership between Storm and Belmo was not luck, it was their FATE. For a ball to be emblazoned with Jason Belmonte’s insignia, you know it must be special. After all, his 14 majors and multiple PBA Player of the Year accolades is no small feat. This man knows what he’s talking about, so we’ve enlisted his help in designing some of the highest performing balls on the market, balls which reflect his career.

Compared to the Dual-Drive™, Piston™, and Piston™ LD, the F-8 Core in the Fate has been packed with more differential than any previous Belmo ball before it. With those enhanced dynamics, the Fate gives the player more recovery and hitting power than any previous collaboration. This newly designed weight block was created to play multiple angles and have superior performance no matter your rev rate.

Storm Phaze 5 Bowling Ball

Can you feel it? That’s power. Pure, unchecked tournament-winning power. Combining proven technologies, the Phaze V is an alchemy of components that will provide nothing but soaring scores. Every ball has the general desire to imagine itself as the start of something entirely new, unbeholden to what has come before. When the salt settles, we’re left with neither triumph nor tragedy. Instead, it’s one more chapter in the continuing saga, punctuated by a moment of genuine awe. One of those moments is right now.

This low RG gem has a strong heart. Being one of the most aggressive symmetrical balls ever devised, your shots become more comfortable so you can bowl with effortless focus on your shot quality. The Velocity Core is designed to help you play at pace with more revs, power and control, for true consistency. There is a reason this construction has turned into the go-to chassis for professionals around the world.

The Phaze 5 is the reissue of the Phaze 4 in a different color and with the new Reacta Gloss finish. It comes with the tried and tested R2S Pearl shell, which you’ve also seen on the Hy-Road Pearl & Trend. With this surface, it glides longer than the Phaze III and gives off a stronger backend response.

What’s noticeable is that his mid lane movement isn’t all that much smaller. So you get a ball here that is really versatile. It will mainly be used on house patterns and played sports patterns. With the new color pattern you can also see its rotational movement very well.

I feel that the 3 oz of side weight is not fair unless you have a lot of speed. I think you need to return to 1oz all around . Then pro shops would have to us the scale. To be 1oz. Not 1 & 1/4.
