What is going on bowling fans! We’re not even out of the year 2020 yet and already new 2021 bowling balls are being announced and are available for pre-order. New bowling balls announced from top bowling ball companies including Roto Grip, Brunswick, Radical, Track, Motiv, 900 Global, Columbia 300 and Ebonite. These high performance bowling balls are going to kick 2021 off with a bang! Information and videos on the 16 new bowling balls available in 2021 can be found below.

1 - Hammer Black Widow Ghost Pearl Bowling Ball

It’s back, and it’s beautiful. The Black Widow, Hammer’s most successful line, is back at it, this time with a polished pearl that will get a ton of attention. Pink was incredible for the Widow series and the Ghost; a gorgeous white pearl version will be the next big thing.

The overwhelming response by Hammer fans for the Black Widow 2.0 and its longevity gives us a lot of confidence that this polished, pearl version will make its way into every Hammerhead’s bag.

2 - Hammer Black Widow Viz-a-Ball Bowling Ball

This exciting ball provides the hitting power and flare the core offers and takes the Widow polyester line to the next level with full Black Widow images. Spare balls with a performance core have been popular for bowlers who want a harder-hitting spare ball or a ball for extremely dry lanes.

Never before has a Viz-A-Ball featured a high-performance core, and there’s no better core or line to launch such a fantastic product.

3 - 900 Global Altered Reality Bowling Ball

The ALL-NEW Altered Reality brings a pearl version of the incredibly strong S84 Response cover to the table. Combined with a revolutionary core, the Altered Reality will be the strongest ball 900 Global offers!

The S84 Response pearl cover utilizes a technology that promotes up to 20% larger pore sizes. By offering this cover finish, we have ensured maximum traction in the heaviest of oil. The Altered Reality will rival the original Volatility in terms of overall hook.

4 - 900 Global Wolverine Bowling Ball

The ALL-NEW Wolverine Bowling Ball brings S70 Pearl Reactive coverstock into action. Combined with the Lacerate 2.0 Symmetric weight block, the 900 Global Wolverine Bowling Ball will be your go to ball for maximum performance and striking power!

5 - Motiv Iron Forge Bowling Ball

The Iron Forge™ is, without a doubt, the strongest pearl symmetric bowling ball MOTIV® has made. This latest addition to the popular Forge line features the compact and powerful Detonator™ core and the impressive Infusion™ MVP Pearl Reactive cover, first introduced on the Ripcord Velocity. This core/cover combination creates unbelievable angle on medium-heavy oil conditions.

The low RG/high differential Detonator™ core gives the Iron Forge stability with a wide footprint on the lane. This yields more total hook, but also more mid-lane traction and control than other symmetrical core options.

6 - Roto Grip Idol Helios Bowling Ball

The Roto Grip Idol is back, and this time its set to light up the lanes! Introducing the Roto Grip Idol Helios, featuring the proven Ikon core, wrapped in a new XtremeTrax™ Coverstock. This high performance bowling ball will be a great match up on medium to heavy oil patterns.

On the inside you will find the low RG, higher differential symmetrical Ikon™ Core made famous in the original IDOL™. But on the outside, it’s the coverstock of this ball that is going to help you outshine and outscore your competition. Our newest coverstock technology known as XtremeTrax™, features “chemically charged” nano particles which create the highest amount of responsiveness to friction we have ever seen from a nano particle material. But don’t worry, the nano particles will still provide plenty of traction in oil before the “chemical charge” kicks in down lane to provide more change of direction than the original IDOL before it.

7 - Roto Grip Rubicon UC3 Bowling Ball

The Rubicon™ UC3 (Ultimate Concept 3) takes Tour Level performance to a whole new level. We first focused on core specifics and decided that the mildly asymmetric Rondure™ Core was the ideal core shape in order to generate adequate flare.

From there we engineered the Tour-ethane™ Pearl coverstock to maximize performance and control on those higher friction patterns and lane surfaces. This core and urethane cover combination changes the game!

8 - Motiv Pride Bowling Ball

Versatility. Continuation. With a brand-new core and cover stock, the Pride from MOTIV is the designed to be the perfect benchmark piece. Unique from anything currently available from MOTIV, the Pride fits perfectly into the medium oil position of the ball guide.

The new technology at the heart of the Pride is the Dominion core. It has specifications that place it between the Gear APG and the asymmetrical cores seen in the Trident and Jackal series. These unique asymmetric specifications leverage the physics of the Dominion core so the Pride can be used on moderate volumes of oil and higher friction than the typical asymmetric bowling ball.

9 - Hammer Obsession Tour Pearl Bowling Ball

Hammerheads have been obsessed with the Obsession Tour since its release in February. The Obsession Tour provided an incredibly unique ball motion, and bowlers have wanted more of it, but for lanes in transition and breaking down.

The Obsession Tour Pearl glides effortlessly through the body of the lane and has an aggressive motion continuation movement throughout the backend and through the pin deck. The Obsession Tour Pearl is an all-gold ball that Hammer fans will love!

10 - Storm Trend 2 Bowling Ball

For a ball to be emblazoned with Jason Belmonte’s insignia, you know it must be special. After all, his 13 majors and multiple PBA Player of the Year accolades is no small feat. This man knows what he’s talking about, so we’ve enlisted his help in designing some of the highest performing balls on the market, balls which reflect his career.

Now it’s time to set another TREND with the Trend 2.

“Of all the Signature™ line balls Storm and I have created, Trend 2 has us the most excited. With a stronger cover and a redesign of the weight block, we have created an absolute monster for any style of player,” said Jason. “Trend 2 will give you the ability to move deeper on the lane without losing entry angle into the pocket. If you are in need of throwing that big couple games, Trend 2 is going to have your back.”

11 - Hammer Infamous Bowling Ball

There is a lot to talk about with Hammer’s second September launch, the Infamous. The Infamous core is a new design, and while it’s symmetric, it is packed with technology. Hammer is back to using multi-densities within the core to create new ball motions.

The Infamous core has a large extradense flip block that sits on the top of the core body, and it features a radial disc on the bottom of the ball that helped give the original Obsession extra motion on the backend. There are four densities on the inside of the Infamous, including the famous Carbon Fiber outer core.

The Infamous utilizes Envy Solid, the same formula as the Obsession, but is not CFI infused.

12 - Brunswick Quantum EVO Pearl Bowling Ball

The Quantum Evo series celebrates the evolution of technology within one of bowling’s most significant series of balls, the Quantum. The keystone for the Quantum balls from the onset has been the mushroom-shaped core, and this is where our engineers started developing this next evolution in Quantum balls.

The QCS (Quantum Core System) begins with a modified mushroom shape with integrated flow-through channels allowing DynamiCore2 to flow freely through the core body, promoting better adhesion, durability, and hitting power. Quantum balls have traditionally been a thick shell, which is great for hitting and durability but limits RG core numbers.

The evolution of the QCS and DynamiCore2 allows for a ball with the same hitting power and durability of a thick shell ball but the core dynamic opportunities of a two-plus piece core construction. This evolution will create faster revving, more versatile Quantum bowling balls.

13 - Radical Trail Blazer Bowling Ball

Radical is excited to introduce two balls that Mo Pinel had been working on before his passing. The Trail Blazer, appropriately named since we all know what a trailblazer Mo was. The Trail Blazer is a Top-Shelf launch featuring a strong performing asymmetrical core and the new MOtion Magic cover stock.

The Trail Blazer features a new design concept that Mo had been working on for a few years. This new design has an RG of 2.484 with a differential of 0.052 and an intermediate differential of 0.020. The coverstock is strong, and is finished with 500-1000-1500 Siaair pads and compound. The new MOtion Magic cover creates our largest footprint on the lane. This combination of core and cover creates plenty of hook, backend motion, and tons of continuation.

14 - DV8 Medusa Bowling Ball

DV8 is excited to introduce Medusa to the line-up as a shiny, asymmetric with a lot of pop and a lot attitude. This unique looking ball will turn heads and opponents into stone, just like the Greek mythological character.

Medusa enhances the DV8 line by offering a lower intermediate asymmetric with a medium RG and Differential. These core numbers and Inciter Max Flip create easy length and a nice kick on the backend.

15 - Columbia 300 Power Torq Bowling Ball

There aren’t many balls we can compare the Infamous to on the market. The technology-packed core and strong solid cover produce a motion that is extremely useful and unique. Bowlers looking for a big symmetric ball shape will have to have this in their bag.

The Power Torq is not a remake of the early 1990’s Power Torq, we revisited the name as homage to the brand’s history, but the core and cover combination is new. We increased our development and testing process for this ball, and you’ll see evidence of this when you watch the ball motion. We are back to pouring multi-density cores for Columbia 300, something Columbia 300 pioneered and was known for.

The multi-density cores allow us to target mass properties within the core body to enhance desired ball motion. The Low RG and High Differential core numbers and new core inner don’t appear different on paper, but you will notice the difference on the lanes.

16 - Roto Grip RST X-2 Bowling Ball

Given the continued success of the RST X-1, we knew the next ball in the series using the Roto Star Tour Core was going to need a special coverstock wrapped around it as well. So, after countless tests involving multiple players of different styles, we determined that the eTrax pearl material gave us the type of reaction we were looking for, but we wanted something a little more while still using that same chemistry.

So, the R&D team went to work changing the ratios and other variables until we settled in on the NEW eTrax PLUS Pearl Reactive formula that provides a larger footprint throughout the entire lane without reducing the responsiveness to friction down lane.

Creating yet another viable pearlized coverstock option for the Roto Grip family of balls.
