Hey everyone, welcome to our report card for the Hustle Wine. Storm Products, Turbo Grips, Bowler’s Mart, Coolwick, SRGBBFS on Facebook, and Royal Crest Lanes in Lawrence, KS sponsor the videos, follow the links in the description and end of the video to Bowler’s Mart for your bowling needs, that lets them know I sent you, my code Rosdahl10 gets you 10% off your purchases at Coolwick, and the SRGBBFS group on Facebook is your one stop destination for all things SPI, specializing in used, rare, and international equipment. Â
This one will be pretty short, the Roto Grip Hustle Wine is exactly what we thought it was
it’s just a nice, simple, balanced and controllable ball that could be a daily driver in league for slower speeds or heavier hands, or a nice drop down from or complement to something like an IQ Tour or Zen, or a near replacement for the IQ Emerald. Like the other Hustles, it’s major bang for your buck, it’s rolly but not heavy rolling, fairly clean up front and strong but not sharp down lane, and there’s just balance everywhere. It doesn’t do too much of one thing, and while it IS a lighter oil ball, it and its companion the Camo can handle a fair amount more oil than they probably should. For the majority of conditions people bowl on, they really don’t need as strong of equipment as they think, and while it feels nice to drop a couple bills on the newest high performance ball, it’s also fun to spend half that and put up big numbers with a quote unquote low end ball.Â
The Wine looks sharp, can obviously hold its own against some stronger balls, and it does it for a lot less. Â
With all the other balls that have released and that she already had in that space, Angel actually hasn’t used it much, she’s been favoring her Hyped Pearl here recently, but it’s more a case of there being too much competition than her not liking it. It obviously reacts well for her, and this is exactly the type of ball she gravitates towards, most of her arsenal is in this same vein, stuff like the IQ Emerald she still uses, the Hyped Pearl that I mentioned, Hustle Hunter which is an overseas PBR, IQ Tour Rising which is an overseas Fusion, and a regular IQ Tour Solid, so there’s a lot of stuff in this general zone that competes for limited spots in the bag and this one is often just the odd one out. Thanks for watching and may the strikes be with you.Â
