hey everybody Brian danielli and we are
about to go over some layouts for the
super exciting everybody loves it storm
phase five but before we do that let me
introduce my right hand guy Todd
Hollywood Adams we’re inside the Bower’s
Mart located inside a strike zone Lanes
inside the Sunset Station Casino in
beautiful Henderson Nevada Todd is the
pro shop manager here professional
bowler with over 40 years experience a
20 plus year track staff bowler so while
he can’t throw the storm phase five he
sure knows a hell of a lot about it and
he’s going to go over a couple of
layouts Todd take it away I see you got
your tools ready to go that’s right we
uh we got our prosex scale every
successful Pro Shop should have one of
these all right and if they don’t you
should run all right so uh here we go
we’re gonna do uh again my common layout
on every ball I drill
actually I tell you what I’m going to do
I’m going to do what we would refer to
as a more General uh layout because of
the positive access point make it look a
little different than I would make it
look for me okay okay so in this case
we’re going to do a a five a five a
positive access point is 5 over and an
inch up
okay so in this case uh again same
numbers
so this is going to be more general for
the average bowler would you say yeah
well again everybody has their own
Matrix but sometimes in the Pro Shop
game
um we have to use a general point
because we don’t have a matrix and a
person might come into the pro shop and
not give us the opportunity or not have
another Bowl enough and this is and this
is the kind of thing we might see with a
ball like the storm phase five given the
popularity of the brand correct so this
is a good uh for all of you out there
looking to get your first big boy ball
or big girl ball right we’re gonna do
50.
50.
by
we’re gonna do four and a half we’re
gonna we’re gonna do four and a half 50
by four and a half
and then on this angle we’re gonna do
um 30.
50 by four and a half by 30. that’s
correct and this is going to be a more
General layout for maybe a first time
bowler that doesn’t have a bowling
Matrix and for those of you wondering
since Todd can’t throw the storm phase
five well Brian who is going to throw
the storm phase five that’s going to be
our good friend Chad Luce who is a storm
staff bowler and it’s going to come out
and throw this for us on a house shot
and a sports shot and Todd is a High Rev
kind of guy high energy kind of guy has
a lot of passion for the sport like
yourself
so we are all about knowledge and
sharing it with you so if you’ve got any
questions put them in the comments shoot
us a message and we’ll be sure to get it
answered for you
and like always I’m going to ask Todd
when he’s done marking this ball up to
kind of go over the markings on the
Storm ball so you know what they mean
okay so here we go this is going to look
different this is uh going to be more
applicable to the skid flippy kind of
range but again this is a bowler’s
positive access point five over and an
inch up so uh in the markings we’ve got
uh the pin placement here
um
this indicates the top of the weight
block
so division
if you can just Vision just seeing right
down through the ball okay so then that
puts the
storm the eye of the storm
in
play here as the center of gravity that
is the heavy Spot Of The Core
and because this is a symmetrical ball
um
it doesn’t have another marking on the
ball so
at that point we don’t have to consider
two different shapes we’re only cutting
it in half and it’s the same shape okay
so again uh this this is going to be
really
um
downlink super kind of really hockey
stick motion down through the through
the pins
um most everybody that comes in the shop
is always tells me I want it to flip in
the back flip in the back again in
generality when we don’t know their
positive access point and don’t know
their their Matrix in general this is
something that we would typically give
most every bowler that comes in the shop
like that and like you always say cover
stock gets you to the pins layout Gets
You Through the pin so this layout for
the average bowler is going to get them
through the pins that’s right yeah and
the cover stock on this ball should get
them to it because this is a pretty good
bowling ball would you say this is a
fantastic bowling ball uh great
combination of you know
skid and flip and looks and it’s just a
great ball and if I’m not mistaken it
smells like blueberry it’s a blueberry
scented Bowl now I love it let’s get
this one cleaned off two more layoffs
here we go and as always the max tack
gets the job done you can get it at
bowlersmart or on bowlersmart.com gotta
keep your balls clean
use maxtac to get it done
okay here we go I’m going to make a
request on this layout since we know
Chad’s going to be throwing this ball
for us what kind of layout would a guy
like Chad who is a High Rev bowler you
said somewhere around 475 yeah Chad’s
Chad’s in that range 475 to almost 500
of rev rate
um he gets on it he he climbs all over
it so how would you lay out this ball
for a guy like Chad so
Chad likes the ball to go sideways down
Lane
and obviously I know we have a a ball
that does that already cover stock right
cover stock matters first element and
how we pick out a ball for somebody is
the cover stock and of course now we’re
trying to get it to figure out how we’re
going to get it to shape through the
pins now
I’m going to say uh Chad is probably
going to want to drill this ball
something like
we’re probably going to do a seven we’re
probably going to do 75
so this is going to be a big number 75
is way over here
uh
big number that’s a big guy throwing a
ball real fast he’s a big guy yeah 75
and this is going to be really weird
because
Chad likes his ball to do different
things but we’re gonna do by six
six is a lot but we’re gonna do by six
okay and then we’re gonna do by 20.
75 620. that’s correct wow yeah that’s
some numbers I haven’t heard before yeah
what kind of action is this ball gonna
get this ball should go dead sideways
once it comes off the back of the
pattern
so this is definitely something for the
high red bowler with some speed on it
yeah yeah yeah yeah
um probably not your your average bowler
here correct now uh we’re gonna go I
think Chad is a ha we’re gonna go half
up
after they hop down and then
we’re gonna do
it he’s lined up
and then
by five
so you know this was kind of a little
test for Todd and just for all you
viewers out there to show you how
important it is to have a true
professional working on your bowling
balls you know Chad is not here with us
to speak but I’ll bet you Todd is pretty
much dead on accurate for what Chad
would like because he knows his
customers like that so you make sure
your Pro Shop professional knows you the
same way knows your bones Matrix and can
provide you that level of service that’s
going to make you the best you can be
out there on the lane so what’s this
layout again Todd for our viewers is 75
by 6 by 20. you saw it here ladies and
gentlemen that is just for a High Rev
high speed Bowl where this thing’s going
to get sideways and uh do a lot of
damage to the pins that’s what we hope
that’s for sure all right let’s clean it
up and let’s do one more you know what
since this is the last ball we’re going
to be doing layouts on I got a I got a
request okay you know I like storm
products that’s how we met me other met
each other my first ball was what uh
phase two phase two and you know I
wouldn’t mind having myself a phase five
don’t we’ll have one in my hands yet but
how would you set this up for me for
people that don’t know I am a
left-handed amateur have only been born
for a short while so how would you lay
this out for a guy like myself all right
this is for all you lefties out there
um we need to get the ball rolling a
little earlier for you because believe
it or not you got upper balls cheap
um not a lot of revs though not as money
revs we’re working on that a little at a
time right so we’re gonna do
uh we’re gonna do
45
we’re actually going to do my favorite
layout for me for you same thing
go 45.
I think Todd says we’re bowling twins
sort of I would say so
twinsies
45. I’m the better looking twin
never considered myself to be a fascist
looking a fabulous looking guy but hey
you know so we’re gonna go 45 here so 45
by 4 by 45.
foreign
this is going to be a really good strong
rolling bowling ball for you Brian
um and we’re gonna do
and I hope Todd remembers my positive
access point if he does I’m going to be
impressed because he’s got a lot of
knowledge up in that brain of his four
and three quarters
well
yeah so you’re three quarters
down by four and three quarters how
about that ladies and gentlemen that is
a true professional
this is why Todd’s my guy you can make
them yours you can find him at Bowers
Martin Henderson but if you can’t get to
a bowler’s Mart near you bowlersmart.com
there’s the layout Todd what is that
layout again this is 45 by 4 by 45 for
for Brian danielli there you go and
listen Todd will take the time to get to
know you as well once again if you come
to Bowers Martin Henderson if you can’t
make it to a bowler’s Mart near you
boarsmart.com don’t forget maxtac helps
keep your balls clean be sure to like

forward to bringing you a lot more
