You did not mention the importance of back swing. You did not mention the importance of finger strength needed when increasing speed and you did not mention the age of the bowler. I’m 80 and have a 205 book average. My ball speed is down to12 mpm

100% leg strength and core strength are very important.

1. I increased my speed and control by spreading my pinky finger out further across the ball. I did have to adjust my shot slightly to compensate, but it is working well.
2. I try to speed up my swing right before letting the ball go. I’m an amateur, so I’m not sure about this 2nd suggestion. It works for me because I let go of the ball very close to the floor. I do think the 1st suggestion might work with spreading out you pinky finger (and maybe forefinger too) for better control and roll the ball faster without losing accuracy.
