You might recognize the DNA Core from the earlier released Track 300C Solid and the 400A. This core assists the ball by getting it rolling down the lane while storing the energy for the backend. The core paired with a high grade resin will give you the scores on the board that you’ve been waiting for.</p

“Great to use when the Tour X is a little to long and you need something a little more”
~ Dee Evans
With Every new Track release, our R&D department spends countless hours assuring the quality and performance of our product. The Tour X Solid is no different. The intent behind the development of the Tour X Solid was to design a ball to compliment our already successful Tour X. As with the Tour X, this new solid version will perform the best on tougher lane conditions.
When designing a new ball around a previous product, starting with the same core design ensures your ability to be successful. By using the DNA core, the Tour X Solid will give the user a similar ball reaction throughout the lane.
The Tour X Solid comes from the factory with a 500/3000 Abralon finish which is polished with our Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. The finish process enables the Tour X Solid to match up best with medium to slightly drier patterns.
When bowling on tougher oil patterns, bowlers tend to lean towards a bowling ball that uses a symmetrical core design. To help satisfy this need, we have developed our Tour series of bowling balls. The Tour X was perfect for creating lots of length with its pearl finish. The new Tour X Solid is the perfect compliment to the Tour X. The change to a solid veneer, while using our proven DNA core design, provides a touch stronger reaction in the mid-lane, therefore allowing it to handle a bit more oil as well.
When the lanes get tough, smart bowlers get Tour X Solid!

I've been using my Tour X Solid for about a month. It is an outstanding compliment to the Tour X, and does what you would expect a solid version of the Tour X to do. The high RG gives this ball easy length through the front of the lane - even with a sanded surface (my preference for this ball). The solid cover picks up earlier in the mid-lane than the pearl cover of the Tour X. In my opinion, the back end response is smooth and predictable - more of a soft arc motion. The original Tour X is a bit more angular. However, both of these balls have stronger backend motions than the Tour SIC. My pin-down below the bridge with a weight hole around P3 is the ball described above. I also have another one with the pin right of the ring finger that provides a great controllable look on shorter patterns. I would highly recommend this ball, particularly for mid-to-high rev bowlers who are looking to control ball motion on more challenging sport shots. DEFINITELY a must-have for tournament bowlers! Tour X was exactly as it's named. A tour edition type ball. This ball was extremely long through the front of the lane, and offered a smooth, predictable backend motion that tour conditions require. Track didn't make this ball to be the swing it wide/let it ride combination. That can be found with the Paradox. This one is designed to control tougher lane patterns, keep the ball in play, and hit the 1-3 pocket more than others. Tour X Solid did exactly that. If you're looking for a ball to stay near the top when the lanes toughen up, this is a solid choice.
