“The Feud is pretty damn good. Not as flippy for me as the schizo but very strong great complimentary shape to the other ruckus series balls.!”

Are you a high revolution player, or slow ball speed player? If you are, do not read on. There's nothing of use here for you, because this ball will hook too damn much for you. If you're looking for a new heavy oil, huge hooking ball, you found the right one here with the Ruckus Feud. The first thing I noticed is this ball comes in a super dull, aggressive finish. No doubt the surface is built for the sludge. Then you get to the coverstock, and it just chews through the oil. I threw this ball 3 shots and immediately thought of USBC Nationals, and all of the players who have trouble hooking the ball there. This should be one of the highlight balls of this year's tournament. The core shape gets the ball revving heavy in the midlane, and the cover turns it over on any amount of oil, and I mean any amount. I don't think I've ever seen a ball as strong as DV8's new Ruckus Feud.

I was going to do a video for it but I couldnt hit the pocket and gave up. Dislikes: Doesnt love tons of friction-I have a dude for that Im a little late to the party on the DV8 equipment so bear with me. Well what to say about this beast. Well if you are looking for something to out hook anything on the market, Well you have found it.If you throw it hard and need something that hooks for you, You found it. To be totally honest this ball is probably 10 boards more than my dude. When I brought the surface up to 2000 from box it was very clean up front and had some better change of direction to it. If you polish this ball watch out b/c it might turn 360 and come back at you. This ball looks like a different ball shiny. Not all balls take surface and perform as well as this one. Summary: This ball hooks a bunch. Stand left and wheel this ball! Its a ridiculous amount of hook
Layout 50 x 4 3/4 x 45 What I was expecting: This was the first DV8 ball that I have ever thrown, at 1500 grit, I knew it had some teeth so I wasn't worried about it hooking. It has all of core numbers that I like to see so I put a layout on it similar to my Jet Black Taboo and Ratchet (Two of my favorite releases from the past couple of seasons..I was anticipating moderate length and a strong backend motion. So my starting point was going to be 25 with my feet and 8 down lane at 42 feet. What I got: Let me start out by saying I threw strikes right away with this ball.. 13 in a row right out of the box with no warm up... WOW.. What I see that i'm not quite used to seeing is how much Ruckus Feud slows down at the end of the oil pattern.. Shouldn't be surprising at 1500 grit but I was a little surprised as I just haven't seen that much in the previous balls I've thrown even with hitting the balls with 1500 or 1000 grit pads.. Even with how much Feud slowed down, it's didn't over react. i was able to control the pocket very well.. Best yet, when i threw it wide of target, I still didn't get over reaction... Problems I ran into: After about 16 shots by myself, i found myself moving in very fast. The deeper I moved in, the heavier the reaction was down lane.. After 14 out of 16 strikes, I started to see the 10 pin, A LOT...But I also saw my misses become very apparent. If I tugged the ball, it never got right of 10 and would roll out on me, but if I sailed it right I started to see a little over reaction and more angular motion that led to the 10 pins and 9 pins.. Final Thoughts: I think Ruckus Feud is going to be a great fresh oil ball for me. I don't see it being much in play after a couple of games in tournament play unless I drill another one and put some polish on it. I am curious to see how long I get to use it on tournament conditions that utilize heavier volumes of oil and longer lengths..
