Radical Grease Monkey Bowling Ball

At first, I wasn't expecting much here and thought this was just another gimmick ball with a moderate hook potential. Wow was I pretty surprised! The Grease Monkey has actually earned a definite spot in my bag for all tournament play, USBC Nationals, and any time where going up the lane is an advantage. I drilled my Grease Monkey with a "label" drill, putting the pin just outside of my ring finger, and the center of gravity in the palm area. No weight hole was needed. This ball is fairly clean through the front of the lane due to the polished coverstock. The midlane is really nice though. As long as I'm going straighter up the lane, the Grease Monkey doesn't miss the spot very often. My favorite feature is the control downlane though. It really widens the target for me to hit, particularly when I can keep my angles in front of me. Not the best ball at going "around" the pattern, but that's not what it's built for. Keep it on the condition it's built for and you won't be disappointed in this one! Great piece from Radical.

This ball was great on the later part of the shift. The Grease Monkey was easy to get down the heads and never burned up. It had a lot of power still left entering the pocket with a big bang. All and all the ball is great for league night and late block tournaments.

Great tournament ball for when the lanes are fried. The cover stock responds well when friction is present and this is when the ball is at its best. This is a great option as you get deeper into long format tournaments and need another option before plastic and urethane.
